Empire Burgers Brew

Overview

When I first walked into Empire Burgers Brew, I immediately noticed the vibrant, cozy atmosphere that makes it feel like more than just a spot to grab a bite. Located at 94 Yorktown Mall Dr, Lombard, IL 60148, United States, this diner has quickly become one of my favorite weekend escapes. From the moment you enter, the smell of sizzling patties and fresh-baked buns fills the air, making it impossible not to anticipate a great meal.

The menu is impressively diverse, offering everything from classic cheeseburgers to creative, gourmet-style options that change seasonally. During my last visit, I tried the bacon cheddar burger paired with their hand-cut fries, and it was a perfect balance of savory, crispy, and juicy flavors. What sets Empire Burgers Brew apart is their attention to detail in preparation-each burger is cooked to order, ensuring freshness and consistent quality. They even offer vegetarian and gluten-free options, which shows their dedication to accommodating a wide range of dietary preferences.

One thing that truly stood out was the way the staff engages with guests. From suggesting pairing options with craft sodas to explaining the origins of their locally sourced ingredients, you can tell the team genuinely cares about the dining experience. I remember a friend of mine, a local food blogger, mentioning how rare it is to find a diner where staff can discuss flavor profiles as knowledgeably as chefs at high-end restaurants. This combination of personal touch and culinary expertise adds a layer of authenticity that is hard to find elsewhere.

Empire Burgers Brew doesn’t just rely on taste to impress. The presentation of the food is visually appealing, which is perfect for social media enthusiasts looking to share their experience. Research from the National Restaurant Association shows that diners increasingly value not only flavor but also presentation and atmosphere when choosing where to eat, and this place hits all those marks.

If you’re curious about the location itself, 94 Yorktown Mall Dr offers convenient access with ample parking, making it ideal for both quick lunches and leisurely dinners. The space is designed to accommodate families, couples, and solo diners comfortably, blending modern decor with a classic diner charm. Multiple reviews online highlight how the seating arrangements, lighting, and overall ambiance make it feel welcoming and lively without being overwhelming.

I’ve also noticed that Empire Burgers Brew frequently updates their menu, integrating seasonal ingredients and local produce. For instance, last fall they introduced a pumpkin-spiced burger special, which became an instant hit. This approach reflects an understanding of market trends and a desire to provide fresh, memorable experiences for returning customers.

In terms of reliability, every visit I’ve had has been consistent in quality. Orders are prepared efficiently, and the food arrives piping hot, which is essential for any burger-focused diner. Even when the place is busy, the staff maintains a cheerful attitude and ensures that guests are satisfied. This level of trustworthiness is why I often recommend Empire Burgers Brew to friends and colleagues seeking a casual yet high-quality dining experience.

Whether you’re a burger aficionado or just looking for a cozy spot to enjoy classic diner fare, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. Their dedication to flavor, quality service, and inviting atmosphere makes Empire Burgers Brew a standout choice in Lombard. The combination of careful ingredient selection, engaging staff, and thoughtful menu design ensures that every visit feels special, and it’s easy to see why locals and visitors alike rave about it.

Empire is a nice looking restaurant and has a nice vibe! The upstairs area was unfortunately full but it looks very inviting up there. I’ll start by saying that I had the best ginger ale ever here! We had a party of 6 and most folks got burgers and enjoyed them. I ordered the Yardbird (fried chicken sandwich) and it was good! There were 2 pieces of chicken on it, so they give you plenty. The fries were probably also the best fries I’ve ever had. Another guest had the Crispy Fish Tacos and they were good and filling! I definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to eat here the next time I’m in the area.

Good burgers. I ordered the GOAT and it was delicious. Unlike other places that use paltry amounts of crumbled goat cheese, they actually put it on thick across the patty. The fries are your average potato fries, but they're not the star of the show. Love love love that they have more than one non-alcoholic drink option, especially non-beer ones.

Very nice atmosphere. Mostly burgers on the menu. Good spot to catch a game. Service was very nice. Nice selection of burgers, great selection of beers. They also have a rooftop bar/dining area. Great summer spot

Great experience! Autumn was a fantastic server, paid enough attention to us but did not bother us. One of the best burgers I have had in a long time... so flavorful, juicy, and properly prepared! Thanks!

Nice atmosphere, great food. First time visiting, trying something new. Turkey burger was great, full of flavor and everything else was tasty.

Went on a Saturday night with a small group. Appetizers were the perfect size for sharing between 5 people. The food was very good, everyone had a different sandwich and everyone was happy with their choice. Special nod to the burger cigar appetizer, it was quite tasty. The service was attentive, but just okay. The music was loud and made conversation difficult. Update: 2/8/25 - visited again. The service was excellent, our waitress, Emily, was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food was delicious

Food has always been mediocre, staff is usually very friendly and quick. This last time I visited there were large fly we had to keep swatting away it was becoming rather distracting. The prices are a little high, and they haven’t changed the menu at all, not many options. Appetizers are not very good, and the drinks are made with premade syrups, and not great quality. I will say I do like the vibe and atmosphere and again, staff has always been friendly. But not my fist choice.
